New Zag Baseball Field opening?
Could anyone let me know when the opening game at the new baseball park will be and what the seating capacity and attendance charges will be?

Middle of March...my buddy on the team told me the date...either 13th, 14th, or 15th. Sorry for the vague answer.

...This season, the Zags will call the Gonzaga campus home for the first time in nearly three-and-a-half years. The 2007 season marks the inaugural year of play at Patterson Baseball Complex and Washington Trust Field. The new home of Bulldog baseball is a state-of-the-art facility that also incorporates an old-time baseball feel.
The new stadium includes 1,300 theater-style seats with classic brick detailing. Major League amenities include a state-of-the-art infield, a professional candle lighting system and authentic home and visitor dugouts with underground passages to full-service clubhouses....
The Bulldogs will open their home season March 15 against Rider University.

HA! I knew I was right with one of those dates. Coach, you clearly did more research than I did...

It has really come along nicely, I can't wait to walk over there for a few games this Spring. I imagine it will work as a significant recruiting tool.

Naw just did a cut/paste from an email I got the other week.
The field looks great...am looking forward to bring my boys to watch a few games this year...I know they are excited to go.

Bobo
Bobo was a great sport. He'd pick up one of the bananas and eat it. Those were the days--hiding a pony keg under a blanket, watching Gorman mow 'em down and Patterson hit everything that was near the plate.
